We saw these Watermelon Margarita Slices on social media and figured we had to try it and put our spin on it! Of course, we fell in love and couldn’t wait to share!

These Margarita Watermelon Slices are perfect for picnics, pool parties, barbecues or just a simple night with friends! They are simple to make and everyone will be asking for more!

And you can make things even simpler by buying watermelon slices in the value-add section at your local grocery store! However, we won’t argue if you want to buy a whole watermelon….there are so many ways for you to use the whole watermelon.

Watermelon Margarita Slices Ingredients

  • 8 fresh-cut watermelon slices
  • 1 cup tequila 
  • 1/3 cup triple sec
  • 4-5 limes, juiced (appx 1/4 cup lime juice)
  • 3 Tablespoons Himalayan salt (or salt of choice)
  • Zest of 2 limes

How to Make Watermelon Margarita Slices

First, place the watermelon slices into a large deep dish. Combine the tequila, triple sec and lime juice in a large measuring cup. Then, pour the liquid over the watermelon slices, and place them in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

In a small bowl, combine salt and lime zest. You can adjust the ratio to your preferences.

After one hour of soaking, remove the watermelon from the dish and place on a popsicle stick. You may need to cut a slice in the rind for the stick to slide in easily. Garnish with salt/lime mixture and serve.  Serve cold!

Ingredients 

  • 8 fresh cut watermelon slices
  • 1 cup tequila
  • 1/3 cup triple sec
  • 4-5 limes juiced (appx 1/4 cup lime juice)
  • 3 Tablespoons Himalayan salt or salt of choice
  • zest of 2 limes

Instructions 

  • Place the watermelon slices into a large deep dish.
  • Combine the tequila, triple sec and lime juice. Then pour over the watermelon slices, and place them in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  • In a small bowl, combine salt and lime zest. You can adjust the ratio to your preferences.
  • After one hour of soaking, remove the watermelon from the dish and place on a popsicle stick. You may need to cut a whole in the rhine of the watermelon for the popsicle stick to go in easier!
  • Garnish with salt/lime mixture and serve. Serve cold!
