What is pumpkin butter used for?

It is great on  a variety of breads, waffles, pancakes, English muffins, and biscuits. You can also mix it with granola or add it to a smoothie. We also love topping our yogurt or ice cream with this recipe.

What is the difference between pumpkin puree and pumpkin butter?

Pumpkin butter uses pumpkin puree as a base for the butter. Then, you add apple juice or apple cider, sugar and spices to the pumpkin puree.

What is pumpkin butter made of?

pumpkin butter ingredients
  • Pumpkin Puree
  • apple juice
  • ground ginger
  • ground cloves
  • ground cinnamon
  • ground nutmeg
  • white sugar

This butter recipe calls for apple juice. If you’ve never made your own apple juice before, it’s super simple and totally worth it in our opinion. You can also sub out the apple juice for apple cider for a little more added flavor.
