A festive holiday treat for your pup!
Planning to gift your dog something extra special this holiday season? You can’t go wrong with these Gingerbread Dog Treats. They are easy to make, adorably festive, and most importantly โ loved by dogs of all shapes, sizes, and breeds!
Bake up a batch for your pup and another for all of her four-legged friends. Toss a few in clear gift bags, tie closed with ribbon, and gift to the friendly dogs on your street or to your pup’s daycare playmates. Don’t forget the furry family members of your friends!
Gingerbread Dog Treats
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp flaxseed oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 tbsp ginger finely shredded
- 2 3/4 cups oat flour
- 1 3/4 cups water
Instructions
- In one bowl, combine Flaxseed oil, olive oil, water and honey and mix together.
- In a second bowl, combine Oat flour, ginger and cinnamon, and mix together.
- Slowly add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredient bowl until all combined. It should form a soft dough.
- Pour mixture into a clean bowl and use cling wrap to cover. Place in fridge for 3 hours.
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Line a baking tray.
- Remove chilled dough, sprinkle some oat flour out on wax paper and roll out mixture to approximately 1 cm thick.
- Use a gingerbread cookie cutter to cut out dough and place on lined baking tray.
- Bake 10 - 15 minutes or until golden brown.
