Fall is in full swing – and cold winter days are coming right behind it! Weโre shivering just thinking about them. But some good hot food can help us enjoy even the chilliest days. And when we think of a savory meal that warms us right up, one comes to mind before any other: soup! With help from our partners at Wada Farms, weโve come up with a Potato and Ham Soup recipe that will warm you from your head to your pota-toes (weโre sorry if that spud pun was a little ham-fisted!).
Easy-Cooking Potato and Ham Soup
This tasty dish is surprisingly easy to make! Thereโs no need to labor in the kitchen for hours – just set it and forget it! A slow cooker makes the ingredients in this soup delightfully tender and brings out all the flavors of the ham and vegetables. You might find yourself sipping the broth right out of the bowl.
We make our Potato and Ham Soup with only the best russet potatoes, and that means they come from Wada Farms. Since 1943, these growers have been shipping potatoes to produce sections across the country. Their hearty, sustainably-grown spuds have made them one of the largest suppliers of potatoes, onions, and sweet potatoes in the nation. These are potatoes you can feel good about eating!

Whatโs in a potato? Loads of nutrition, thatโs what! We love potatoes for their nutritional benefits just as much as we love them for their versatile taste. Spuds both sweet and otherwise contain essential nutrients like potassium and Vitamin C and B6. Potatoes are also both fat- and cholesterol-free and loaded with carbohydrates. Use potatoes to fuel your family – theyโll thank you for it!
