How is a bundt cake different from a regular cake?

A bundt cake is made in a bundt pan that is round, with a hole in the center, and leaves the edges of the cake with fluted edges. It makes for a beautiful cake!

In addition, a bundt cake has a firmer texture. The reason for this is once the bundt cake is flipped over, it holds together and doesn’t crumble.

How long should a bundt cake cool before flipping?

Our recipe developer advises allowing a bundt cake to cool for at least 10 minutes. If you do it any sooner, it’s not only hard to handle because it’s hot, but you risk the chance of the bundt cake splitting apart.

If you allow the bundt cake to cool completely within the pan before flipping it, you risk the chance of the bundt cake not removing itself from the bundt pan completely.

Do I need to pre-grease a nonstick bundt pan?

It is always a great idea to grease any baking dish that you are using when it comes to baking. Ensure that you are using a baking spray (contains flour) so that the pear bundt cake doesn’t stick to the sides or the crevices of the bundt pan.
