Lemon-Lime Fruit Dip with Marshmallow Creme

This Lemon Lime Fruit Dip with cream cheese and marshmallow creme is the perfect sweet and tangy snack! It’s perfect for dipping fresh fruit, cookies and crackers, or even a more decadent treat like cake pops. This creamy and delicious fruit dip will be the hit of your party with everyone! Serve it up in a fun bowl and watch it disappear in a matter of minutes.

What is the Best Dip for Fruit?

We love a creamy fruit dip. When making this fruit dip, the lemon and lime juice give it a tart flavor that will cut through the sweetness. The cream cheese and marshmallow creme work together to make the creamiest fruit dip.

Can I Use Another Flavor of Cream Cheese?

You could use flavored cream cheese in this recipe, but we recommend sticking to the original. The lemon and lime juice give this fruit dip a unique flavor and that won’t be as pronounced if you use a flavored cream cheese.

Can the Fruit Dip be Made Ahead?

You can easily make this fruit dip at the last minute, especially if you need something quick or you forgot to plan ahead (we’ve all been there)! You can also make the dip ahead of time. If you want to make the dip ahead, you can make it up to 3 days before you need to serve it. You will just need to make sure you store the dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator. When you are ready to serve the dip, let it sit out at room temperature for about 20 minutes. Stir it well, serve, and enjoy!

What to Serve with a Lemon-Lime Fruit Dip

Our favorite thing to serve with fruit dip is Envy™ apples. We love the flavor and everything melds together perfectly. You can also serve other fruit like grapes, strawberries, peaches, bananas or even pears. If you want to get a little bit creative, you can also serve this dip with graham crackers or vanilla wafers. Pretzels also work well. If you want to make it a decadent treat, pound cake pieces would work great.

Tips for Making Fruit Dip

This recipe is pretty straightforward, but we have a few tips to make sure your fruit dip turns out perfect every time:

  • Use fresh lemon and lime juice for the best flavor. Concentrate can be used but the flavor is not the same.
  • If you want a smooth dip, make sure all of the ingredients are at room temperature before you begin mixing.
  • Use full-fat cream cheese for the creamiest results.
  • Marshmallow creme can be hard to find in stores. If you can’t find it, you can use 7 oz of marshmallows and 2 tablespoons of milk. Microwave the marshmallows and milk for 30 seconds, then stir until smooth.
  • Most fruit dips can be made ahead. Store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Let it sit out at room temperature for 20 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with your favorite fruit, crackers or cookies.
