Hard Boiled Chicks are such a cute addition to your Easter brunch. Plus, they are so easy to make, and you only need 3 ingredients!

Easter is such a fun holiday to try new recipes and to elevate your kitchen table with fun and joyous recipes. Not only are the hard boiled chicks adorable centerpieces, they are completely edible! Although, it may be hard to eat them because they are so cute!

This also is a great way to get your kids involved in the kitchen. They will absolutely have a blast making chicks out of hard boiled eggs!

what  is the best way to hard boil your eggs?

The biggest problem with boiling eggs is making sure you don’t over-cook them. In a saucepan, fill it with cold water about a quarter of the way. Then, you should lace the eggs in a single layer at the bottom of the pan. You will probably need to add more water so that the eggs are covered. If your saucepan is crowded, you should add more water.

Keeping the saucepan uncovered, turn the stove on high bring the water to a boil. Then, you will turn off the heat and cover. Let them stand for about 10-12 minutes.

Peel boiling eggs can be tricky. Try cracking the shells without peeling and soaking the eggs in water. Sometimes this helps make the peeling process easier. There are also many great tips and tricks that you can find that may work better for you!

 Ingredients You Need to Make Hard Boiled Chicks

  • Eggs – hard boiled
  • Carrot Chips
  • Sunflower Seeds

How to Make Hard Boiled Chicks

Hard boil your eggs using whatever method you prefer.

While they are going, you can cut the carrot chips for the chicks.

  • You will need a longer-cut piece for the comb of the chick on its head.
  • Then, you will need a small triangle for the beak.
  • Lastly, you will need two small, oval-shaped pieces for the feet.

On a plate or tray, start to build your hard boiled chicks. Place the carrot chip “feet” on the bottom. Add the hard boiled egg on top so that the carrot chips are slightly out and showing. Then, place the carrot chip nose in the center of the hard boiled egg. Place the carrot chip “comb” on top of the egg. You will have to add a little pressure so that it will stay firm. Finally, you sunflower seeds and place them above the nose for the chick’s eyes.
