What are the health benefits of eating celery?
Celery is loaded with essential minerals and vitamins such as folate, potassium, vitamin B6, vitamin K and vitamin C. At 10 calories a stalk, celery is low in calories and high in nutrition. It is one veggie that may also help aid weight loss. Celery also has a low glycemic index which means it has a slow and steady effect on blood sugar. This can help prevent spikes and dips in energy. As a whole, eating celery as a whole veggie gives you more fiber so it is a vegetable that is often promoted for weight loss.
What are the health benefits of celery juice?
Celery is made up of 95% water and is versatile in flavor. It is rich in nutrients and can give you more energy for the day.. Celery juice helps digestion, adds a boost to the immune system, and has natural anti-inflammatory properties.
Juicing is a quick way to get many health-boosting vitamins and minerals. Celery juice is filled with magnesium, potassium and calcium. Juicing also includes energy-boosting carbs. While juicing allows a lot of nutrition quickly, don’t throw away the pulp because it contains all the fiber.
In addition to the antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds, celery juice helps protect the digestive tract. Celery also contains pectin-based polysaccharides which help us digest our food and extract nutrients.
Does celery juice help and benefit your hair?
As we mentioned earlier, celery juice has a high amount of water and Vitamin A. Both of these are great for our hair. They help keep our scalp hydrated while nourishing the roots and strands. It can also help with hair growth while improving the texture and facilitating growth. Celery juice can reduce inflammation through relaxation in the hair follicles, roots, and scalp.
With the abundance of nutrients found in celery, it can help speed up the hair growth process. The antioxidant properties of celery can also contribute to rapid hair growth. The antioxidant properties in celery juice also help to strengthen the hair which means less breakage and hair loss.
Does celery juice benefit the skin?
Celery is a popular ingredient used in many hair and skin products because of its ability to soothe. The high levels of Vitamin A in celery is known to reduce wrinkle. It can also help with acne scars, and lighten dark spots from sun damage. Overall, it can also improve your complexion.
Hydration is king when talking about skin health. All of the hydrating benefits of celery juice can enhance overall skin health. Drinking celery juice benefits your body by helping it restore its natural supply of this mineral. The vitamin A in celery juice causes the skin to produce more cells which replace the older damaged ones. Adding celery to your skin care routine can do you wonders!
