If you’re an avocado lover then you’ve got to give tropical avocados a try! They are naturally double or triple the size of typical avocados. With more avocado to love, you can spend less time peeling and slicing and more time enjoying.

Because tropical avocados have a slightly lower fat content, they have a lighter, sturdier texture. From smoothies to sandwiches, you can use them in a variety of ways. One of our favorites is in salads.

Bryan’s Simple Tropical Avocado Salad from Desbry is just three quick ingredients: tropical avocado, olive oil, and salt. To make, you simply slice the avocado and drizzle the slices with olive oil and salt. After a quick thirty minutes in the refrigerator, your salad is ready to eat.

Bryan’s Simple Tropical Avocado Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 Desbry tropical avocado
  • Olive oil
  • Salt

Directions

  1. Cut avocado in half.
  2. Remove skin and pit.
  3. Slice avocado.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil and add salt to taste.
  5. Cover plate and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

The trick to making simple food delicious is choosing high-quality ingredients. Desbry is highly recognized in the industry for growing some of the best tropical produce. When you select a Desbry tropical avocado, you know you’re going to get the very best.

Select coarse Kosher salt or Himalayan sea salt and a high-quality olive oil to ensure your simple salad is simply divine!

If you’re in the mood for something with more complex flavors, you can add ingredients to your Simple Tropical Avocado Salad. Here are a few of our favorite takes:

Breakfast Salad with Tropical Avocado

3 Simple Tropical Avocado Salads: Breakfast Salad with Tropical Avocado

In this salad, the tropical avocado is still drizzled with olive oil and salt but it’s diced instead of sliced. We put it on a bed of scrambled eggs and bacon and sprinkled a bit of mixed cheddar cheese on top. Sriracha acts as the salad dressing.

This breakfast salad is a great way to start the day and it’s kid-friendly too!

Caprese Tropical Avocado Salad

Caprese Tropical Avocado Salad

This time, we left the tropical avocado sliced just like in Bryan’s Simple Salad but we added snacking tomatoes, mini mozzarella balls, and slices of red onion. The whole salad is drizzled with a balsamic glaze, which pairs perfectly with the olive oil already on the avocado.
