Football season is starting and that means tailgating! The key to a great tailgate party is great food. Don’t fumble with complicated, time-consuming recipes. Crockpot Sweet Potato Soup is easy, delicious, and will keep you warm even on the chilliest autumn days.
With just a few simple ingredients, it’s impossible to mess this recipe up! Sweet potatoes are the MVP of this soup. Begin by peeling and chopping your Wada Farms’ sweet potatoes. Throw them in a slow cooker with white onion, vegetable or chicken broth, garlic, smoked paprika, ground cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Cook on high for four hours or low for six to eight hours. Once cooked, blend the mixture into a velvety soup. Put the soup back in the slow cooker to keep it warm.
If you don’t have an electrical outlet at your tailgate party, transport your soup in thermoses or tin mugs. It bonuses as hand-warmers this way!
