That’s why summer is the perfect time to try making your own tasty ice cream, strawberry banana ice cream that is. In my home, we always keep frozen bananas and strawberries in the freezer for smoothies. It’s always great to discover another way to enjoy our favorite fruit. And who doesn’t love ice cream? It’s a treat for the whole family!

Strawberries are a great source of vitamin C and bananas are a great source of potassium. Talk about a one-two punch! You can make your own homemade ice cream without any chemicals or additives. Doesn’t it feel good to make your own healthy dessert? With just a few ingredients, you are on your way to the chill zone.

Once you make homemade ice cream, you may not go back to store-bought. Just think of how much control you now have over added ingredients like sugar and salt! You can even get the kids involved. Strawberry Banana Ice Cream

Strawberry Banana Ice Cream will be the treat you need to keep things cool this summer and beyond!

Ingredients 

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 tsp oat milk
  • 1/2 tsp honey

Instructions 

  • Slice or dice your bananas and strawberries and freeze them for 2-3 hours.
  • Add frozen bananas and strawberries to your food processor with oat milk and honey.
  • Blend or pulse until smooth!
