Dessert Nachos are one of our families favorite desserts or after school snack. It’s healthy, sweet and there’s no guilty feeling afterwards. Not to mention, you can top with pear & apple nachos with ingredients already found in your kitchen.

How do I get my pears and apples from browning?

The answer is super simple. Squeeze a citrus over the top of your fruit. We typically slice a lemon in half and drizzle over the top of the apples and pears. The citrus helps to prevent the browning from happening.

Can I use other toppings for pear and apple nachos?

How to Make Dessert Nachos

Sliced pears

Start by slicing your pear.

Then cut up your apple into slices using a knife or apple slicer.

Apple and pear slices slayed out on the plate.

Once they are sliced, lay them out on a plate or wooden cutting board which makes a beautiful presentation. We believe the best nachos have layers. Create your first layer by placing apples and pears down on your plate or cutting board.

Next, melt the almond butter in a microwave safe dish for 30-45 seconds. The melted almond butter is much easier to drizzle. We placed the almond butter in a plastic bag and snipped off the end. You can also use a spoon or a decorating bag. Drizzle the almond butter over the top of the pears and apples.

Next, add the coconut, almonds, chocolate chips and golden raisins (or toppings of your choice).

Repeat the layers until the plate is full or you run out of ingredients.

Enjoy!
