Ingredients Needed For Bacon Guacamole Keto Fat Bombs
- 2 large avocados from Westfalia Fruit
- 4 large slices of bacon, chopped
- 1/4 cup butter, softened at room temperature
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small jalapeno, finely chopped
- 1/2 small white onion, diced
- 1 tbsp Westfalia Fruit Avocado Oil
- 1/8 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp sea salt (or more to taste)
- 1-2 tbsp freshly chopped cilantro
Instructions:
Preheat and Prepare Bacon:
- Preheat your oven to 410ยฐF (210ยฐC). Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Lay the bacon strips out flat on the baking paper, ensuring they donโt overlap.
Cook the Bacon:
- Place the tray in the oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the bacon is golden brown and crispy. Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of your bacon slices.
- Once done, remove the bacon from the oven and let it cool down. After cooling, crumble the bacon into small pieces and set aside.
Prepare the Guacamole Mixture:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the avocados, softened butter, minced garlic, finely chopped jalapeno, diced onion, cilantro, and avocado oil.
- Season with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- Mash everything together using a potato masher or fork until well combined and creamy.
Chill the Mixture:
- Cover the bowl with foil and place it in the fridge for 20-30 minutes. This step helps the flavors meld together and makes the mixture easier to form into balls.
Form the Keto Fat Bombs:
- Once the guacamole mixture is chilled, take it out of the fridge. Using a spoon or cookie scoop, create 6-8 balls of the guacamole mixture.
- Roll each ball in the crumbled bacon, ensuring itโs well coated.
Serve and Store:
- Place the bacon-coated guacamole fat bombs on a tray. Enjoy them immediately for a fresh, crunchy treat or store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
Variations
Cheesy Bacon Guacamole Keto Fat Bombs: Mix in 1/4 cup of shredded cheddar or crumbled feta cheese into the guacamole mixture for a cheesy twist.
Herbed Keto Fat Bombs: Experiment with different herbs like chives, parsley, or dill instead of cilantro for a fresh flavor profile.
Bacon and Blue Cheese: Add crumbled blue cheese to the guacamole mixture for a tangy, robust flavor.
Sweet and Spicy: Incorporate a small amount of finely diced pineapple or mango with the jalapeno for a sweet and spicy flavor contrast.
