Stone Fruit Pizza Ideas

A good pizza is all about striking the right balance. Should the crust be thick and fluffy or thin and crispy? Do you have a heavy hand with the cheese or use more sauce? And toppings make things even more complicated. Whether it’s sweet, sour, spicy or savory, each topping should complement the others to create an impeccable pizza.

But you don’t have to use trial and error to get the right topping combo. We’ve come up with some Produce Moms favorites using HMC Farms’ selection of delicious fruit! Which Stone Fruit Pizza will be your favorite?

Six Stone Fruit Pizza ideas

Craving a sweet-and-savory slice? Try the San Joaquin by topping your pizza with red sauce, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese, then adding pepperoni or prosciutto, red onion, grapes, and nectarines.

You’ll use grapes in the Sweet Greek, too, along with plums, spinach, pine nuts, kalamata olives, tomato, and feta cheese for a Mediterranean flavor.

Plums are the star of the Get Your Goat, adding fruity flavor to the richness of red sauce, sausage, and goat cheese.

Pizza doesn’t have to be an entree! To satisfy your sweet tooth, use summerwhites, cream cheese, and cinnamon sugar to make the Just Desserts.

How to Make Peach Margherita Pizza

We saved the best for last! We have one more Stone Fruit Pizza for you to try: the Peach Margherita Pizza. This pie features peaches, basil, balsamic vinaigrette, and sliced mozzarella cheese on top of a crispy crust brushed with garlic and olive oil. This pizza is truly one-of-a-kind!

A one-of-a-kind pie

There’s no need to make your own dough. The Peach Margherita Pizza tastes great on a regular store-bought crust or flatbread. The garlic and olive oil mixture is what makes the crust stand out. Crush fresh garlic, mix it with olive oil, and brush it across the entire crust to get the best flavor and crispiness.

Peach Margherita Pizza

This pizza can be made in the oven or the grill. Using your grill to make pizza will give it a smokey flavor, which this Peach Margherita Pizza really benefits from. If you make it in the oven, you can cook it directly on the rack to get it extra crispy. Try placing a baking sheet on the rack below it to catch any ingredients that drip off and keep your oven clean.
