The secret to great barbecue is the BBQ sauce! Strawberry BBQ Sauce is smoky and sweet, just how a BBQ sauce should be! Make this your signature sauce and you’ll soon be known to your friends and family as the barbecue queen!

Strawberry BBQ Sauce pairs nicely with any grilled meat. Our favorite is grilled chicken. It’s also a great nacho topping. You can even use it in salads!

Strawberry BBQ Sauce

Most BBQ sauces are laden with sugar. Not this one! The natural sweetness of the strawberries provides enough sweet flavor that no additional sugar is needed. A dash of cayenne pepper brings the heat and a bit of lemon juice and zest adds a nice brightness.

This BBQ sauce is very simple to make. There are really just two steps…. blend and cook down. You’ll only dirty two dishes making this sauce (a blender and a saucepan). That’s a huge win for a busy parent!

Pro Tip: The pros at Naturipe know berries! They suggest always looking for berries that are unblemished and fresh looking, and to try to purchase your berries from a refrigerated display. They instruct not to wash berries prior to refrigeration. Simply rinse your berries in cool running water prior to serving. Strawberries have a shelf life of 3-7 days from purchase.
