We saw these Watermelon Margarita Slices on social media and figured we had to try it and put our spin on it! Of course, we fell in love and couldn’t wait to share!

Ingredients

– 8 fresh-cut watermelon slices – 1 cup tequila – 1/3 cup triple sec – 4-5 limes, juiced (appx 1/4 cup lime juice) – 3 Tablespoons Himalayan salt (or salt of choice) – Zest of 2 limes

First, place the watermelon slices into a large deep dish. Combine the tequila, triple sec and lime juice in a large measuring cup. Then, pour the liquid over the watermelon slices, and place them in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

In a small bowl, combine salt and lime zest. You can adjust the ratio to your preferences.

After one hour of soaking, remove the watermelon from the dish and place on a popsicle stick. You may need to cut a slice in the rind for the stick to slide in easily. Garnish with salt/lime mixture and serve.  Serve cold!
