Ingredients
3Vidalia onions
1tbspwater
1/4cuphot honey
2tbspbuttermelted
Kosher salt and pepperto taste
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Slice the Vidalia onions into wedges or slices, depending on how they will be used (see info above).
Place onions cut-side down in a baking dish and drizzle with water. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Melt together the hot honey and butter.
Flip the onions over and brush with half of the honey mixture. Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, uncovered.
Flip the onions over and brush with the remaining honey mixture. Bake for another 15-20 minutes, uncovered. Remove from oven when onions are fork-tender and beginning to carmelize.
