Instructions
Puree the Base. In a blender or food processor, blend the chopped apples, cinnamon, and 1/2 cup of water until completely smooth.
Mix the dough. Add the cooked bacon bits, flour, egg, and 1/4 cup of stock into the blender or transfer the pureed apple mixture into a bowl and mix in the remaining ingredients. Blend or stir until a heavy, workable dough forms.
Fill the treat maker with the dough. Close the lid and wait until the light goes off (approximately 4-6 minutes).
Allow the treats to cool in the pan for 1 minute before carefully removing them and placing them on a wire cooling rack to cool completely.
Notes
Don’t have a treat maker? No problem. You can bake them in the oven as well. You can use a cookie cutter for any shape you want or you can add them to muffin tin or cookie sheet. Bake at 350°F for approximately 20 minutes, or until the treats are golden brown and fairly firm to the touch.
