Funeral Potatoes
Funeral Potatoes (also known as cheesy potatoes) is a quick and easy side dish recipe that feeds a crowd. This cheesy hashbrown casserole is perfect for cool nights, goes with most meals, holiday dinners or potlucks!
Servings: 12 servings
Ingredients
- 30 oz. frozen hash browns
- 16 oz. sour cream
- 10.5 oz. cream of mushroom soup
- 6 tbsp salted butter melted
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1/2 tbsp black pepper
- 2 c cheddar cheese freshly shredded
- 2 c corn flakes crushed
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°. Pre-grease baking dish.
- In a medium size bowl, mix together the sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, butter, salt and pepper.
- In a large bowl or casserole dish, mix together the hash browns with the sour cream mixture and half of the cheddar cheese. If using a bowl, place the hash brown mixture into the casserole dish in an even layer.
- Top with remaining cheese and crushed corn flakes cereal.
- Place in the oven and bake uncovered for about 45 minutes.
- Serve and enjoy!
