Preheat your oven to 375°F (if baking) or your grill to medium-high heat.
Tear off a large piece of heavy-duty aluminum foil. For extra security and to prevent tears, you can double up the foil.
Start by washing and drying your potatoes. Quarter each potato, ensuring they are all the same size so they cook evenly.
Place the potatoes, onions, garlic, salt and pepper in the center of the foil. Drizzle generously with olive oil and toss until everything is well-coated.
Fold the foil over the potatoes to create a sealed packet. Make sure to crimp the edges tightly to prevent any steam from escaping.

Cooking Times
How long to bake potatoes in foil (Oven): Place the sealed foil packet on a baking sheet and cook for 35-45 minutes at 375°F. The potatoes are done when they are tender and easily pierced with a fork.
How long to grill potatoes in foil (Grill): Place the sealed packet directly on the grill grates. Cook for 40-50 minutes, flipping the packet every 10-15 minutes to ensure even cooking. Cooking time may vary depending on your grill’s temperature.
