Instructions
Step 1: Prep the oven and pears. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking dish or 9-inch round pie dish. In a large bowl, combine the chopped pears.
Step 2: Create the filling. Add the granulated sugar, brown sugar, flour, lemon juice, vanilla, cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg to the bowl of pears. Toss gently until all the pear slices are evenly coated. Pour the mixture into your prepared baking dish.
Step 3: Mix the Crumble Topping
In a separate medium bowl, combine the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Pour the melted butter over the dry ingredients. Mix with a fork until the mixture is fully incorporated and looks like coarse, thick crumbs.
Step 4: Bake to Perfection
Evenly sprinkle the entire crumble topping over the pear filling. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the pear filling is bubbling around the edges. Let cool for at least 15 minutes before serving—this allows the delicious sauce to thicken!
