Ingredients
15oz.can black beansdrained and rinsed
1/3cupcacao or cocoa powder
3/4cupdark brown sugar
1/4cupnut butter of choice
1teaspoonalmond extract
1/4teaspoonfine sea salt
2tablespoonsmaple syrup
Instructions
In a food processor, add in the black beans, cacao powder, dark brown sugar, nut butter, almond extract, and salt. Process until smooth like a batter. As needed, stop to scrape down the sides of the machine.
Next, add 2 tablespoons of maple syrup, and blend again until the mixture looks glossy. The hummus should have a smooth and whipped consistency. You can add water (or more maple syrup as needed.
Put the hummus in a serving bowl and enjoy!

Notes: Serve the chocolate hummus right away, or store it in the fridge to chill, where it will thicken up further. This can be kept in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
