Ingredients
3mangospreferably large and meaty
3thick wooden skewers with a point
2tbspTajin chile powder
2limes1 juiced and 1 sliced
Instructions
Peel mango using a knife or sharp vegetable peeler.
Slice a couple of inches off rounded end of mango and insert wooden skewer into the exposed seed centered. Push and twist skewer to work it into the mango. The skewer needs to be far enough inside the mango to support it without sticking out the other side.
Use a knife to make small slices in the mango for the “petals”. Start at the bottom (skewered side) of the mango and make a row of petals, working your way up. Gently slice downward diagonally into the flesh, angling your knife parallel to the skewer before slicing all the way through. When making each successive row, slice the petals between the ones in the previous row.
Drizzle lime juice over the mango and dust with Tajin powder. Plate with sliced limes as a garnish. Serve immediately and enjoy!
