Ingredients

– 1 whole watermelon – 1 cup flour – 1 cup cornmeal – 1 cup butter melted – 1 cup cinnamon sugar mix – Chocolate sauce for dipping

Step 1 First, wash and cut your watermelon. Once done, cut up the rind into “fries.” You can take off the skin if you prefer, but we feel like they hold up better if you keep it on.

Step 2 Then, in a medium bowl, mix together your flour and cornmeal. Next, take your rind fries and roll them in the mixture.

Step 3 Then, spray the covered rinds with cooking spray, and place them in a single layer in the air fryer. Next, cook in an air fryer at 400°F for 20 minutes (or until brown), flipping over every 5 minutes.

Step 4 When they are done, let them cool on a cooling rack for at least 5 minutes. Then, melt your butter in a bowl. Have your cinnamon sugar mix in another bowl. Finally, roll the watermelon rinds in butter and then cinnamon sugar mixture. Place them on a sheet of parchment paper to absorb.
