This Apple Cobbler recipe is one of our favorite fall desserts. Made with fresh apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar and a quick homemade crust, it's perfect for the entire family.

Ingredients
Apple Filling
3lbsSage Fruit applespeeled & cut into 1/4" thick slices
1Tbsplemon juice
1Tbspcornstarch
1tspvanilla extract
1tspground cinnamon
1/4tspground nutmeg
1/4tspsalt
3/4cupbrown sugar
Cobbler Crust
1cupall-purpose flour
1cupgranulated sugar
2tspbaking powder
1/4tspsalt
1cuphalf & half
4Tbspbuttermelted
ground cinnamonfor dusting/topping at end of bake
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease 12" cast iron skillet OR 9x 13 pan with cooking spray or butter
In a medium-size mixing bowl, toss together Sage Fruit apples, lemon juice an vanilla
In the same bowl, stir in cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and brown sugar
Pour apple mixture into prepared skillet or pan
In a large-size bowl whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in the half & half and melted butter.
Pour mixture over the apples in the pan, sprinkle with cinnamon
