Classic Waffles
  • 1cup flour
  • 1tbsp sugar
  • 2tsp baking powder
  • 1/4tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1cup milkof your choice
  • 2tbsp buttermelted
  • chocolate chips
  • mixed berriesraspberries, blackberries, strawberries, blueberries
  • pomegranate arils
  • bananasliced
  • kiwisliced and quartered
  • orangesegmented
  • peanutscrushed
  • golden raisins
  1. Sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and melted butter. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just incorporated.
  3. Pour waffle batter into a greased waffle maker and cook until golden brown. Repeat until the batter is gone.
  4. Melt the chocolate chips according to the directions on the package.
  5. Dip each waffle in the melted chocolate or drizzle on top. While the chocolate is still warm, add the fruit and nuts.
  6. Allow chocolate to set and then serve.
