Mini Caramel Apple Tarts are an easy, no-bake dessert
Mini Caramel Apple Tarts are an easy, no-bake dessert that features several produce items including apples, dates, and walnuts. They are a smart way to satisfy a dessert craving with items you can primarily find in the produce department.
Sometimes lighter dessert options are sadly light on flavor too. Not so with these Mini Caramel Apple Tarts! Don’t let their size fool you. These bite-sized treats pack large amounts of deliciously sweet flavors. The apples provide just the right amount of tartness and a satisfying crunch.
These tarts are a hostess’s dream. They require no baking and can be made ahead of your event or dinner party. Fill the crusts up with caramel and chill in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve. Then, simply top with apple slices right before serving.
Produce Moms Tip: Tossing the apple slices in a little bit of lemon juice will prevent them from browning.
These little cuties also happen to be gluten-free so they are a wise choice if you have any guests who are following a gluten-free diet.
