Instructions
  1. Over medium high heat, warm the olive oil in a large sauté pan. Add the onion slices to the pan & toss to coat evenly with the olive oil. Reduce heat to medium or medium low & stir occasionally.
  2. After 10 minutes, add salt to taste. Continue to stir & cook over medium-medium low heat. Onions will need to cook for an additional 30-50 minutes. You can add a few tablespoons of water to the pan if the onions get too dry. Also, add some more oil if the onions appear to be burning vs browning.
  3. Use your spatula to scrape the bottom of the pan & continue to cook, scrape, & stir until you have onions that are a rich brown color & taste sweet!

Don’t forget… you still have time to enter to win my Pinterest contest with Peri & Sons!  Winner will be randomly selected on November 18th!  We’re giving away tons of swag & an awesome panini press, which just so happens to be one of my very favorite ways to enjoy caramelized onions – on a panini!  We’re #SweetOnPink & don’t delay… #PinToWin today!

Enjoy!
