Cherry Lemon Cooler - The Produce Moms

Cherry season is a festive time of year… everyone loves summertime after all!  There are many occasions during this time of year where you should be celebrating with the Northwest Cherry Lemon Cooler!  From graduation parties to bridal and baby showers, to vacations or those fun impromptu evenings on your back porch with neighbors… This Cherry Lemon Cooler is our favorite! For an adult twist, try scaling back the lemon juice and adding some lemon vodka.  Cheers to Northwest Cherries!

  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup cherries halve & pitted (Northwest cherries recommended)
  • 8 oz lemon juice (or 4 oz lemon vodka & 4 oz lemon juice)
  • crushed ice
  • 1 liter club soda (or seltzer)
  • cherry for garnish
  • mint for garnish

Instructions
  1. Combine water & sugar in small saucepan; add halved cherries. Bring mixture to a boil; reduce heat & simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat & cool to room temperature. Strain syrup into air-tight container; discard cherries. Refrigerate syrup until cold.
  2. Fill a tall 12 to 16oz glass with ice. Pour 2oz lemon juice (or 1oz lemon vodka + 1oz lemon juice) and 1/3 cup syrup over ice. Top with club soda. Garnish with cherries & mint.
Recipe Notes

TIP: leftover syrup may be stored, refrigerated, up to one week.
